Our customer is one of eight business units of a $24.8 billion global company with headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. The other business units include Network Power, Motors, Tools, Climate Technology, Appliance Solutions, Storage Solutions, and Industrial Automation. Their stable of brands includes many well-known consumer brands sold through big box hardware/home goods stores and independent retailers.
For this particular project, we partnered with our customer who is located in Northeast Ohio. This division manufactures valve systems for the chemical, refinery, offshore drilling, and the oil and gas terminal industries, and they found themselves in a time compressed predicament for a new supplier.
Due to the pending retirement of the owner of their long-time supplier of wiring harnesses and leads, paired with the subsequent closing of the business and the need to replace their supplier quickly, they identified CMA as a possible source after visiting our website. They were pleased with our responsiveness and impressed by our capabilities, both of which were unmatched by other suppliers they contacted.
We worked closely with our customer and the current supplier to transition the business to CMA, which has included the purchase of excess materials, equipment, and tools to expedite the transition. We visited the supplier on several occasions to witness the production of the product and to identify the supply base which supports the production. In addition, we worked with our customer to update and clarify all technical information and specifications in adherence to IPC standards and our own quality system. The result has been a smooth transition with perfect on-time delivery performance and zero quality concerns.
Through all of our efforts and support, we have built a high level of trust with our customer. They are confident CMA will provide them with quality product and service for years to come.
